The construction of this aluminum cube-box was designed to test craftsmanship and technical skill. Using only analog fabrication techniques, two perfectly mitered cubes were nested and then riveted together. A lid is fashioned with a flush-mount latch and installed to sit true to the edges of the box.
Corroded Cube
This aluminum cube is a practice in precise hand-mitering with files and exact bracket fabrication. The cube panels are chosen from partially corroded aluminum stock, arranged to create a lichen-like quality that creeps up the sides of the cube.
