A group of veterans from the 3/2 Battalion of the United States Marine Corps organized a formal ball in Newport, Rhode Island to celebrate the 250th founding anniversary of the military branch. Each attending veteran received a custom plaque with iconography specific to their unit, to serve as a physical reminder of the legacy they share and the foundational experiences that still guide them.

+ design phase: research history of unit and gather relevant grapic material for initial sketches for the client
+ design iterations: create three distinct layouts and refine them according to client feedback
+ fabrication: prepare final design for CNC routing through FusionCAM, adjusting tolerance and detail resolution as needed; optimize CNC settings for the material used; hand-finish plaques by sanding, sealing, and painting; apply decal and metal name plate
