"Made of Reclaimed Fiber" is the name of a startup based in Brooklyn, NY that takes common office waste to create an architectural panel as durable as medium density fiberboard. Normal shredded paper is mashed into a pulp along with a recipe of sugarcane waste, rice binder, and natural dyes, then it is pressed and heated. The resulting stock does not look like it came from waste at all, and rather has a crystal or stone-like quality. As only one of many possible uses for the MoRF material, the stock is cut into prisms and varnished, creating lightweight and beautiful earrings that celebrate a sustainable earth.
